At Detour Lake Mine, Kirkland Gold produces 650,000 onces of gold each year. In 2020, the mine wanted to increase the throughput of its ball mills from 23 MTPY to 28 MTPY.
Slurry Flow Analysis and Chute Design
In order to increase the Ball Mills capacity, KLG asked Trinum to perform a series of flow analysis and to redesign the ball mill chute system so it would handle 22% more flow without blocage.
